Optima for Spin Bikes
End your pain with ZETA Reactive Padding Saddles!
Spin bike sessions are intense and place greater stress on your pelvic region. The constant change from standing to sitting through an intense session creates a demand that often results in more pain.
ZETA’s patented Multi-density Reactive Padding absorbs and disperses the shocks. Your weight is supported by your sit bones. Forces increase when you first sit. ZETA’s patented multi-density REACTIVE PADDING reduces the shock better than any other saddle.
The optimized ZETA ULTIMA size and shape for spinning features a wider back for posterior support, slotted center to relieve perineu pressure and a narrow nose to prevent chafing. The soft firm top layer protects your spin wear from pilling and will still hold you firmly in place when seated as you sweat through your workout.
No bike pads are needed. ZETA’s multi-density padding provides more force absorption than a conventional road cycling saddle combined with a quality padded cycling bib or short. Some spin cyclists prefer an outdoor road saddle for their spin bikes and probably wear padded cycling shorts. Both the ULTIMA and narrower OPTIMA was designed to be ridden with pad-less shorts. Some still prefer to wear their padded bottoms, but most find it unnecessary.
What about gel coverings? That question comes up a lot. Gel pads on top of the saddle that came with your spin bike might provide temporary relief but its just that, temporary. These add on products quickly bottom out and flow. They also absorb energy better used moving your pedals. A stable ZETA platform is simply more efficient.
Lastly, widening the entire saddle with gel pads results in more chafing
your legs and spin apparel.
Easy to Install
Most quality spin bikes like the Peloton accept a standard bicycle saddle and installation is easy. ZETA rail dimensions conform to normal industry saddle standards.

from 15 reviewsBought the Zeta Optima to do longer rides. I always experienced a lot of saddle soreness around the 50 mile mark no matter which saddle was on my bike. I did a metric century (64 miles) last week in Lodi and was very comfortable in the saddle. I could have ridden more miles. I currently have 6 bikes with different saddles ranging from Selle Italia to Specialized. They are good saddles, but when I did over 50 miles, saddle soreness was always an issue while on the ride, until now. Very pleased with my saddle and Zeta has a very good return policy.
I purchased the Zeta Optima at the Sea Otter Classic to replace a specialized ergo saddle that broke mid ride. Glad I did! I just did a 5 hour snow filled climb in the California mountains (freakish snow storm) and one thing that didn't create misery was this saddle. So comfortable I didn't give my saddle or butt soreness a second thought, which to me is the point. I highly recommend.
I was using a foam padded saddle and was having issues with saddle soreness. I came upon the Zeta Optima and decided to give it a try. When I first started using the Optima saddle, I really didn't feel much of a difference for the first 15 minutes, nor the first 30 minutes when comparing the ride to my old foam saddle. I am thinking to myself, what is all the fuss about with the Optima. Then 45 minutes into the ride,,,hmm! Then one hour into the ride...wow! Then over one hour plus and I am sold. No saddle sores and I am using less chamois cream and feeling much better on the ride. Let me caution you though, with any new saddle, make sure it is properly measured and fit for your personal riding preferences. 5 Stars!
After a few rides on my Specialized Roubaix and my Zeta, I knew this was the cure to my sit bone aching. I just got a proper bike fit with new saddle as well, and I couldn’t be more pleased.
I’m old (67) and big (6’6”, 275). This was my first ride of the season. The saddle is always an issue for the first ride. I’ve been riding the same Specialized Body Geometry saddle for probably 25 years. It’s great that once you get your butt broken in, it’s a good saddle for long distance. I tried the Optima today, 156mm ti rails, and it just disappeared under me. It was so comfortable that I didn’t have to think about it the entire ride. I’ll update when I get more miles on it, but I expect it to stay comfortable.

I'm happy to say the road saddle is great! Unfortunately I haven't been on a longer ride on it but I'm doing 60 to 100 miles a week in 10 mile increments commuting to and from the shop. I don't think about the saddle much and that's a good thing. It's one of the best saddles I've used to date. I find that with any saddle I've used in the past there's a point where I end up switching to another preferred saddle before doing the reverse ad infinitum, sometimes mixing in a new saddle. I think I did get maybe a 25 miler in at some point and again, not spending any notable time thinking about my saddle is a welcome change. I did find that one of my cycling shorts is less comfortable on the Zeta saddle than previous saddles. Presumably a shape or consistency of the foam combined with the chamois design? It's a denser chamois.
Wife's new Trek FX4 was not comfortable. Replaced the saddle with the Ultima eight months ago...... Happy wife, happy life !
Not more saddle issues and her rides remain comfortable as she is increasing distance & duration.
Zeta’s “ULTIMA” saddle is a dream come true! I love riding my Peloton so much
more now! I also have an E-bike that I commute on and it’s super easy to switch
my Zeta saddle between the two. I have zero discomfort or soreness during or
after my multiple spin sessions and e-bike rides each week. Thank you ZETA!

My trail rides are so much more enjoyable now with my ZETA OPTIMA saddle! To say it’s a lot more comfortable is only part of the story. It actually conforms to my body, my pelvic sit bones sink into the padding but, do not bottom out and feel the hard sit-bone pressure felt on all previous saddles. You can feel the shock absorbing padding working as you ride. Love the sleek, low-profile design too!
My new OPTIMA saddle by Zeta Saddles is absolutely the most comfortable saddle ever made! I can’t believe how comfortable it is. There’s such a huge difference in comfort level and performance. Zeta’s Reactive Padding™ absorbs all the bumps and vibrations, and doesn’t have that increasing sense of hard contact pressure and discomfort I’m so used to with my previous saddles. 5-Stars!

After going through seven road saddles in ten years, I finally found a light weight, high-performance carbon saddle that actually gives me greater comfort and support. I ride even longer and more often without feeling that typical saddle hardness, sit-bone soreness and groin area numbness that occurred during most rides, especially on my longer rides.
Wanted to know how your saddle feels. Over the last few weeks, since I put your saddle on my mountain bike, I have been on 15 rides for about 230 miles.
After I put the saddle on, (which was easy, with the open top to the saddle), the moment I sat on the saddle I could feel the comfort. During my rides, (road several mountain bike trails), I noticed the design did help protect tissue in my groin and sit bone. I have had 10 different saddles on various mountain bikes; the Zeta is by far the most comfortable padding and performance with the titanium rails I have ridden on.
I have been riding the saddle for 6 weeks now and the numbness problem I was experiencing is well, solved. I was surprised to be honest. I mounted it on my classic Bianchi steel bike and have gone as long as a century riding it. For me, it works. I do ride with a nice bib under my casual pocketed shorts. Vance
