Pain free riding!
I happened upon Patrick at the El Tour de Tucson Expo. I was riding the Century in a few days and knew my Selle SMP wouldn't be pain free despite having some RedWhite bibs. The Zeta saddles looked interesting, so I gave the Optima 145 Ti a try. I can't say enough about how comfortable the saddle was. I am a slow rider, so the 103 miles took me over 8 hours of ride time. During the ride I barely notice the saddle at all. Every once and awhile it would feel hard - especially on rough roads. But a minor shift in my sitting position and it instantly went away. Most surprising was how I felt at the end of the ride and the next day. Nothing - absolutely nothing! It was if I hadn't ridden in days. No sore spots, chaffing, or tenderness. I have never had this happen on such a long ride. Riding in the days since El Tour de Tucson has reinforced my reaction. This is really a comfortable saddle - and I have already ordered my another one for my second bike.
Getting the saddle to fit took a bit of experimentation. It was very different than my old saddle. To get the full benefits I had to sit farther back on the saddle than I was used to. After moving the saddle forward and tipping the nose up a bit, things felt more natural. The fitting instructions provided with the saddle are spot on.

I know, saddles are a subjective issue because everyone's bodies and needs are not the same, so I'll throw in my two cents.
I'm a 78 year old rider with a lot of saddle time (40 plus years) under my butt. I have purchased all makes of saddles over the years. Most have worked for a time, but as I age I started feeling uncomfortable cramping and pain in my sit bones, call it old age or whatever, but we all change over time. So when I saw the add for Zeta saddles I was of course skeptical. There was a Holloween special that was offered and the discount made it appealing to try an Optima Ti 145. After 60 miles of riding I must say I am more than pleasantly surprised. So far no cramping or pain . A lot of testing to do but I am optimistic that this saddle is the real deal. The padding under the sit bones is different than anything I have experienced. Cushy but not mushy or overly thick. I went ahead and purchased another. With a money back return policy, it's worth a try for sure.
Nice quality, good price point and after 5 rides approximately 100 miles I am happy to say that the comfort level exceeded my expectations thanks for putting a quality product on the Market.

Without a doubt, CD’s photography is a work of art! Each month’s photo is frame worthy! Not only have I ordered one for the past 5 years, but also ordered one for my LBS last year. And they’ve got it hanging in their newest shop up front on the wall right by the register!😉. These calendars make great Hanukkah and Christmas gifts too! They’ll be gone quickly, so I recommend ordering today! I’ve got 2 on the way again.

The ZETA optima resolved sitting issues. Comfortable! Used on a two day shakedown overnighter ride and then a 5 day bikepacking tour in Kentucky. All good for longer trips.

Riding on Zwift I find that I sit a lot more than I would on the road. This saddle actually made my long rides less painful, No numbness or soreness at any point
I’ve tried practically every brand of saddle (some more than once), even a couple 3D printed saddles. The Zeta Optima is by far the best fitting, and most comfortable saddle I've tried. Before the Zeta I could only manage 45-60 minutes pain-free; with the Zeta I’m still comfortable after 2+ hours of riding!
The optima is the 6th saddle I've tried in my search for comfort on my bike and it feels like it might be the one. Its the right width for me and the padding is softer than others i've tried while still providing support. Yes, it was pre-owned but it looks brand new.
It's the shape I prefer and is very well-made with just enough cushion. I'm considering getting a second one for my other road bike that has the saddle I love so much it's now held together with duck tape.
1. Unparalleled customer support. Dr. Patrick seems sincerely committed to bringing seat comfort to the biking world.
2. Ultima is the best saddle (of 5) that I've had on this road bike (an older Trek Madone). At the start of a ride, the saddle seems firmer than I initally had expected--apparently, in order to avoid having the cushioning bottom out (so to speak). More importantly, though: The Ultima is *more comfortable than any of my previous saddles a few miles in and beyond, when it matters the most.
